I am trying to edit the home page template with the slider to only display one hero image versus the slides that it currently has. I removed the extra slide but there is still a flash/fade animation happening every few seconds. How do I remove this?

Do you mean that you only want to display image header instead of slider header? Only one image instead of a slide show?
